Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga over two years following their departure so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
