Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public figures expressed different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the detractors recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and implied they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser should have intervened when the decision to speak on the tragedy was made.
