Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
